Tarrant Dance Studio, 125 Cuba Street, Wellington


This is a large airy studio with wooden floors and mirrors located in the heart of Cuba Street. Tarrant dance studio is run by Deidre Tarrant who is one of New Zealand's most prolific dance / choreography icons. After class it is common for students to relocate to the fantastic Cuba Kebab shop or Irish bar right next to the studio.

The studio can be found central Cuba Street, entrance is a blue door between JJ Murphy's Irish bar and Abstract Designs. Studio is almost above the Irish Bar).


Wellington is renowned for costly parking. There are a number of paid park buildings in Vivian Street, Marion Street and upper Cuba Street, all within a short stroll to the studio. Parking is usually around $4-5. Street parking is difficult to obtain but sometimes your lucky. Parking is generally free on the street after 6pm Mon - Thu
